Joanna M. DeLeo, D.O.
 Dr. Joanna DeLeo is a central Pennsylvania native who has lived, worked and practiced in Harrisburg her entire life. Maintaining deep family ties and values as a foundation, Dr. DeLeo practices with compassion, respect and care.
Her professional career began when she graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. Very soon after, following in her father’s footsteps, Dr. DeLeo attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she earned her Doctorate. Enjoying the technical aspects of surgery, Dr. DeLeo continued on through a surgical residency culminating in her Board certification as a General and Laparoscopic Surgeon. Dr. DeLeo has been a practicing General Surgeon in Harrisburg since 1995 maintaining association with many professional societies.
Dr. DeLeo is a cosmetic surgeon, enjoying the aesthetic rewards she provides for her patients. Dr. DeLeo said, “When you tell a patient that they need to have their gallbladder removed, they are not very happy. But when you see a patient smile as their self esteem soars through the roof after a cosmetic procedure, that’s the real pay-off.”
Dr. DeLeo’s philosophy of helping her patients achieve the best possible results is based firmly on experience, training, knowledge and compassion. She believes that the best patients are those armed with information, knowledge and an understanding of every aspect of their procedure. Both Dr. DeLeo and her staff strive to provide the highest degree of professionalism.
